notes and stuff This is going to be a shorty, but there's a new review up for you to enjoy, and I'll be back in full swing next week. :::I did pretty well in the Poetry Slam. Placed second in my bout last night, and am not sure about tonight. Don't think I made it to the semi-finals, but then most people don't. They only take twelve indies from about 240 poets, but I had a hot night tonight and was very pleased with the audience response. Can't complain a bit. :::A car filled with six kids pulled up to me, Paul and Wammo as we walked back to the dorms last night. They offered us most everything in the pharmacy, if you know what I mean. So Paul and I are all "let's just walk faster and this will go away." But Wammo stops dead in his tracks and says, "Do you have any suppositories? Cause I could sure use a damn suppository." They think they can get us some if we'll just wait here a moment. :::The Kinko's here sucks. :::Dunkin' Donuts is keeping me awake. They have the best franchise-joint coffee ever! Thanks, Dunkin' Donuts! :::The women's reading Taking Apart Tinkerbell totally ruled today! I did a piece I don't pull out too often, Too Fat to Be a Supermodel. I'm glad I chose that one. Okay, go read the review now. I've got to get some sleep. Pooped. Talk to you Monday, with complete recaps of the weeks' events and stuff. Have a super duper weekend! Toodles. |
