welcome to the stack o' crap book club

In a couple of weeks, when I return from the National Poetry Slam, I'm making a few minor tweaks to the site that I think you'll like. Actually, you probably won't even notice the first one. I've decided to remove the poetry and photography pages, because I thought of something way funner. (It's a word. Shut up.) Mark today in your calendar, because this is the day that I initiate everyone into the Stack O' Crap book club! Let's hear a collective, "woo-hoo!"

If you've been hanging around for awhile, I think you've probably figured out that I read a lot. Now, don't get me wrong and think that all I read is utter garbage. At any given time, I'm reading two or three different books, and some of them are worthwhile. However, I'm not real finicky. I will read anything if the mood strikes. Which is not entirely bad if you think about it. I know a little bit about a lot of different subjects, which helps me maintain somewhat above-average conversational skills. And you know what we say in the Lioness Den --- above average is good enough for me.

Believe it or not, I've set standards for the books that I review for the Stack O' Crap book club. They're pretty low, but here you go anyway:

1. All selections are either acquired at huge discount (remainders), OR in a used bookstore, OR are free. Like someone schluffed it off on me cause they didn't want it anymore.

2. Some of them might add value to your life, and even become classics someday. But don't get your hopes up.

3. You're invited to submit books for my scrutinizing review! Just make sure that I can actually get my hands on it.
