summer footnote

Denizens! All this mail...I'm catching up. Give me a few days. I'm starting a new project tomorrow, so all things in good time. Doing a little something in Charlotte. Going dancing on Friday, which I haven't done in entirely too long. Even better, it's salsa. Excellent.

Let's see...what else. Got signed up for a Java class. Right. Geek Central. So I've downloaded SDK from the Sun website, and have started to dip my toes in the water. It's the best programming concepts from VB and C++, and now it's in version 2. Time to learn it already. In other news, it's not just me who has completely slacked this summer in Blogland. I think we bloggers take advantage of slower Internet traffic, and therefore fewer hits, to get all slacko. Come autumn and winter, though, we're back on it. At least I think we are.

Kelli (my sister) visited me this weekend, which was fun. In other girls-rock news, Linda was right, and Jen and Karen get gold stars for outstanding teamwork. Erica is full of good ideas, or one good Friday idea, so woo-hoo!

It's been a couple of those weeks where you kind of kick back and remember that nothing bad really happens to a writer. In time, it just all becomes material.

I'll have more Den-worthy stuff for you all later. In the meantime, pick up Utne Reader and Bitch Magazine. Sarah Jones is featured in both for her ongoing fight with the FCC. I'll have more details in the days to come, okay? Okay!
