serendipity

Sometimes, you discover good people by accident. It's the best way, really.

Last year, I participated in Link and Think, a web-wide devotion to raising awareness and sharing information on HIV and AIDS. I focused on the condition in my areas: the original one (Indiana), and the current (Northwestern North Carolina). In gathering information for that day's posting, I ended up speaking to Verdell at our local AIDS Care Service. I wrote everything down. She said, "I wish I could show you a website, but we don't really have one."

"Oh, that's funny. I write and design websites."

And now, they have one. Me, I'm waiting for another happy accident, but people like them are rare. Like serendipity.
