My one-woman play opens today! Get info and a downloadable PDF for Girl Next Door Runs Amok.

opening night

Well, do I have GOOD NEWS to share! Girl Next Door Runs Amok got a great review--yippee! Tonight's show could not have gone better. The crowd was great (especially for a Thursday night), and they were ready to be entertained. I think the word on the street is going to be AOK, and spreading fast. Friday and Saturday look promising, and next week the review runs in our local free area entertainment paper.

Not only that, but my Uncle Mark, Aunt Janet, and cousins Heather and Shelly showed up. What fun! We all went out with Linda and Lesley after the show for wine and a much-needed wind-down for me. I will sleep well tonight. I can feel it coming. I am one happy lady tonight. Mission accomplished. People belly laughing. Then thinking. Then happy they came out.

To those of you who attended, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making opening night so special. For the rest, I'll look for you after the show! Just give me time to change my shirt, eh? It's a workout up there, y'all.

Last-minute info and reminders for the show:

The theatre suggests that you reserve tickets in advance. You can call 336.723.7473 to do this.

All showtimes are 8:00 p.m. .

Arriving from out of town? Here's a map to the theatre. You can also click the driving directions link, and enter the appropriate information. Our downtown area is small, and it's built on a grid--the numbers increase as you drive north. If you do get disoriented, keep this in mind. There is free street parking on Third and Fourth Streets. There is also a parking garage on Cherry Street at the Adams Mark Hotel. From there, walk a block-and-a-half south to the theatre.

I look forward to seeing everyone there!
