If strange retail purchases get you worked into a lather, and you want to live vicariously through the adventures of a neato chick running amok, then you've downloaded the right channel, skippy. Welcome to life and stuff, the daily online column that's kind of like riding a banana-seat bike through my life. I'm Kim Holzer, and I'm a writer, poet, and woman 'bout town currently living in North Carolina. If you've ever seen the movie "Harold and Maude", I'm Maude in her younger days. I'll be Maude in her older days, too. Cute, wrinkly, and posing nude for the ice sculpture guy. I have an exponential enjoyment of life. For me, going to the supermarket is like visiting the zoo. I like people. I like travelling around to meet more of them, and I like having them visit me. You might be asking who Wilma and Harry are. They're my cats, and because they're my cats, they each have a story. This is Wilma's. And this is Harry's. Between having them, and having asthma, I vacuum a lot and realize that they are the only cats in a ten-mile radius who get biweekly tub baths. In addition to life and stuff, I also write a weekly review on something I recently spent money on. Don't get all giddy and think you're going to get movie and music reviews. I leave that to the pros. Think books from the remainder pile, oddments (a term I'm borrowing from Kim Underwood, thanks), and discontinued food products. So go be a Denizen already! Go catch up on what you missed. I'll be waiting for you when you're finished to answer questions. Okay, off you go. |
